I think if you go to the public library you can Neil Simon's Dinner Party. I like Coward too but if you'd seen Contra Costa Theater's version of the Simon play you might have died laughing.

Sorry to be sending this to everyone, but I thought Mark ought to know that I can't find it on Amazon. Typed in The Dinner Party and got only one book for over $30. And not one of the three collections of Simon's plays contained The Dinner Party. Any suggestions? I also think it would be fun to do Noel Coward. I also suggested The Philadelphia Story as a play with lots of womens and mens parts and fun to do. steffi

Hi all,

We've had several people itching to do a Neil Simon play, and "The Dinner Party" has been especially recommended. There are six parts -- three women and three men. If we get a group that's bigger than six, we'll either trade off some parts, or add a short one-act play to the evening, so that everyone has a meaty part to read. Thanks to everyone who's been sending ideas for upcoming plays!

In case you are new to the group...

Scripts - The script is available for only a few dollars in many used bookstores, and for just under $8 on Amazon. Please bring a copy if you can. (Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com...)

Preparation - No preparation is required. Some people like to read the plays in advance, others prefer to be surprised.

Parking - Parking in the Upper Haight can be a bit tricky if you're not used to it. Allot extra time, or take public transportation if that's convenient for you.

Start time - Note the earlier start time, 6:45 PM. We'll spend the first half hour getting re-acquainted, discussing the play, and ordering up some drinks. We'll start the reading promptly at 7:15 PM.
