Love Martin Yan or hate him, he now has a place in the Westfield mall, M.Y. China. The dinner menu looks a tad pricey, but, hey -- it's your last meal of 2012. Make it count. And for sure, it'll be cheaper than Hakkasan, the global gourmet Chinese chain that just opened up a few blocks away, at Kearny and Market. (Pretty devastating comments with that blog post!)
Some nice writeups about M.Y. China here, including this one from SFGate. Wild boar scissor cut noodles sound pretty good, as do honey glazed lamb chops. That's the old classic, honey glazed walnut prawns, pictured at left.
It's the fourth floor of the mall, so you know how to get there. Powell BART and Muni work, as well as all Market and Mission street lines. With an 8 p.m. rez, we'll be out early enough that you can get to whatever midnight mischief you're planning with time to spare.
As always, we frown on late cancellations in this group, and there's never any excuse for flaking. Please afford those people on the waitlist who would like to come the opportunity to do so; they'd do the same for you. Your fellow diners, the waitlisters and the restaurant all appreciate it.
Thanks, and let's get in the holiday spirit!
