IMPORTANT: Please RSVP Yes only if you've already purchased your tickets and are actually planning on meeting me at 4:30 pm. However, if you'd like to RSVP, but meet up with me at a later time, you can still RSVP, but let me know that you'll call me when you get there. Please note that I don't know how long I will be staying. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the following link:

http://www.farmersmar...

Otherwise, if you just want to go on your own with friends and not meet up with me, then don't RSVP so that I won't be looking and/or waiting for you.

On Tuesday evening, July 14th, the Market will present Taste of Farmers Market from 5-9 pm. The event will offer an unprecedented opportunity to sample everything Farmers Market offers for a single, all-inclusive price. Those who purchase Taste of Farmers Market tickets will be able to stroll the entire Market sampling food from virtually all of its 36 restaurants. In addition, retail and grocery merchants at the Market will offer special sales on select merchandise to celebrate 75 years.

Tickets for food sampling and retail specials are $20; a $25 ticket includes food, retail specials and 2 drink tickets for the Market's two beer & wine bars. A $45 ticket includes a copy of The Original Farmers Market Cookbook, which can be signed by the author at the event.

You can read about a blog posting I did about the Farmer's Market below:

I think this will be a fun weekday activity and I hope that you'll join me! :)

Albert/Aida, I'm sorry you missed us. The majority of us met at 4:30 and as soon as it opened up at 5:00 pm, we went in. Hope to meet up with you another time.

Same thing with me. I didn't recognize anybody so I walked around on my own. I loved the prime rib one the most. It was just hard carrying so much stuff in my hands and walking around.

I got there late and walked around but couldn't recognize anybody... but loved it anyway, sampled a little bit of everything! My favorite still is the Brazilian place (Pampas) but the little juice place and the Singapore one (almost side by side) were a great surprise.

I love the Farmer's Market, I actually do shop there often. I am happy to celebrate their anniversary, it is such a part of Los Angeles history Might be up for a movie, we'll see.

I enjoyed myself. Lost the group, but came upon them here and there. Felt it was a fun adventure, well run, and an opportunity to try what the Farmer's Market had to offer. I like the Farmer's Market, an authentic piece of L.A., so spending an evening there and getting to all the parts was fun. Everyone who attended seemed to be in a good mood so it had a party like atmosphere. Wish they would do it again next year.
    •  SO much food it was nuts. It varied in quality but by and large pretty good. Having to use the same plate throughout was just gross though! I really did have a nice time though--everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, there was singing and just a good time.
