Meat Lovers Unite -- Sausage and Beer @ Wurstkuche

This is a
pre-pay event.
RSVP as a MAYBE until I receive your payment and I will then change it to yes. If you wish to send me a check or money order email me for the address. The cost for you then will be $13, which includes dinner (only), tax and tip. Or you can paypal $14 to me @ [masked].
Please note that the email is corrected from an earlier version--my apologies. Payment must be received by 5/20 to guarantee your place. Come and join us for a selection of sausages and a wide selection of beers at Wurstkuche.
http://www.wurstkuche... It's a fun place located on a corner lot. There are long picnic style tables with brown paper coverings so I think we can easily handle a large group. There are many, many beers on tap as well as a large variety of soft drinks and other bottled beverages. You're on your own for drinks (not included in the price) so you can pick whatever you like. We will be sampling a variety of their sausages so we get to taste many, rather than trying to pick just one. It should come to about one sausage a piece and 1/2 of a belgian fry choice. The slices will come on a piece of their special bread and you can select a host of veggies for toppings and there are also many sauces for the fries if you care to venture beyond your basic ketchup. If you find something you like you can always go back for one made just for you. That being said, we'll have bits of 14 different sausages. they are: From the classics: Bratwurst - fine cuts of pork, coriander & nutmeg Bockwurst - veal, pork & spices Hot Italian -fine cuts of pork & spices From the Gourmets: Mango Jalapeño - chicken & turkey Sun Dried Tomato & Mozzarella - smoked chicken & turkey Green Chillies & Cilantro - chicken & turkey Filipino Marharlika - sweet pork , natural seasonings Kielbasa - polish style, pork & beef, onions and spices Roasted Red Pepper & Corn - chicken & turkey From (their specialty) the Exotics: Buffalo, Beef & Pork with Chipotle Peppers - smoky chipotle flavor Duck & Bacon with Jalapeño Peppers - juicy and packed with flavor Rabbit, Veal & Pork Seasoned with White Wine - light and delicate Alligator & Pork, Smoked Andouille Sausage - hickory smoked, thick casing Rattlesnake & Rabbit with Jalapeño Peppers - buttery but mildly spicy Their entire menu:
http://www.wurstkuche... Please note that there are vegetarian 'sausages' if you wish to bring a non-meat eating friend but there are none on this tasting so please do not include them in your RSVP. There is plenty of parking in the area. 10 minute rule applies--we start after 10 minutes. If there's a problem and I don't hear from you at the cell # indicated, then it goes to no-show status

Thank you chrissy for hosting the event, it was not only fun but discovering the different array of flavors infused in the sausages. And the fries and dipping sauces are one of my favorites.

Well-planned and executed. Food was good, especially the mango jalapeno sausage and belgian fries.

would have liked more servings of sausage - I missed 4-5 of the offerings because others beat me to the punch. I gladly would have paid $2-3 more to have been assured of a bite of each.
Also I would have enjoyed the wurstmeister/chef to have said a few words about the design and manufacture of the sausages. All were good or better with the rabbit, hot link(I purchased this one for myself), hot Italian and green chili/cilantro my favorites.
PS The Belgian fries(double-fried) are excellent.

Great place! Food was terrific; beer selection was world-class. Staff were friendly, out-going, welcoming; service was quick. Food was so good we bought extra to take home -- prices are good, too. Really a terrific choice of places to meet up! Company was very enjoyable and the facility is very conducive to a large group hanging out and mixing. Even the background music -- Johnny Cash, Neil Young, etc. -- was first-rate.
