Downtown Italian: Bottega Louie

I love Italian style pizza. No slam on the thicker crust, American versions, but sometimes the simplicity of Italian style is just what I'm craving. I heard that Bottega Louie might serve good Italian style pizza. In addition, they serve other Italian dishes and have a pattiserie. Bottega Louie is one of the newer eateries that have opened up this year in the burgeoning food scene in Downtown LA. I've heard good things about the place and have been wanting to try them out. You can read more about them via this link:
http://www.yelp.com/b... This will be family style dining - meaning we will order as a group and share each meal we order. Drinks not included. I am estimating about $25 per person - not including drinks, for this event. For those of you that live in West LA, we could carpool from my place near Culver City.

The venue was visually stunning, totally worth the trip, even if downtown is out of your way. The bakery and deli were total eye candy. Service was sharp. Attention to detail was certainly there. We were there at brunch time (limited menu) and ordered mostly pizzas and they were good. But I had a pile of crust on my plate after. I don't eat pizza often but when I do it's Pizzeria Mozza for me and there is never anything left on my plate. Great dining companions... we were able to try so much for so much as a group. Thanks Robert for organizing!
