Pleasure Palate Chef Series II Ina Garten, Barefoot Contessa

Please Make Note of Pleasure Palate Attendance Policies and our 3 Strikes Rule by clicking here before RSVP-ing to this Event. Cancelling your RSVP within 24 hours or not showing up at the event without contacting the Organizer ahead of time will result in a strike. 3 Strikes and You're Out!

A current photo is required for this event. No icons, animals or unrecognizable pictures are acceptable. The week of this event you will be emailed with the address and my cellphone number in case you are lost or late.

Our Chef Series features the cookbook from a master chef. We hope to challenge ourselves and each other to take on new styles, techniques or recipes that we have always wanted to taste. Here’s the next entry:

For more than 25 years, Barefoot Contessa, the acclaimed specialty food store, cooked and baked extraordinary dishes for enthusiastic customers in the Hamptons. For many of those years, people tried to get the exuberant owner, Ina Garten, to share the secrets of her store. Her fans were so excited over those recipes, she began a new career as cookbook author and ultimately, a TV celebrity. Her books are written for those of us who may not know our way around the kitchen. The recipes are straightforward and delicious. Ina's most popular dishes use familiar ingredients, but they taste even better than you would expect.

We are limited in space so this is for Pleasure Palate members only. Everyone must prepare their own dish from one of her cookbooks. Please designate in your RSVP which course you plan to bring. You can always change your mind, but our goal is to create a scrumptious, balanced meal. There are many of the Barefoot Contessa Cookbooks in the library, so we should not have to make a purchase to find a recipe. As a matter of fact there are several of her books and hundreds of recipes online. Try visiting www.inagarten.com to see how easy they appear to even a novice cook.
We will supply plates, napkins and tableware. We ask that you please bring your item in the serving dish with the serving utensil. An oven will be available for last minute reheating. We encourage you to bring a wine that can be paired with your dish, but it is only an option.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
