Tickets cost $25 per person.

2) There are only 5 spots left for the May 26th, 3:45 Pm tour. So don't hesitate in calling LACMA and buying your tickets now because this event will sell out within a day or two.

3) I am hosting this event for both Gay Foodies and Pleasure Palate.

As part of The Getty's Pacific Standard Time's focus on LA architecture, LACMA is holding a special exhibit of James Turrell's works. Actually they are holding 2 types of exhibits - the one I am hosting an event for is the Retrospective exhibit. James Turrell is my favorite landscape architect - its hard to describe his works until you actually witness them in person but they are breathtaking, mysterious and wonderful to behold. I have been blessed seeing his works in various places at least 3 times within the last year or so, and its hard to pass up an exhibit of his work at LACMA.

From LACMA's website:

James Turrell: A Retrospective explores nearly fifty years in the career of James Turrell (b. 1943, Los Angeles), a key artist in the Southern California Light and Space movement of the 1960s and 70s. The exhibition includes early geometric light projections, prints and drawings, installations exploring sensory deprivation and seemingly unmodulated fields of colored light, and recent two-dimensional work with holograms. One section is devoted to the Turrell masterwork in process, Roden Crater, a site-specific intervention into the landscape just outside Flagstaff, Arizona, which will be presented through models, plans, photographs, and films. The exhibition includes a separately-ticketed experience, Light Reignfall, from the artist's Perceptual Cell series, with a limited number of tickets available (special conditions apply).
