I was supposed to host a Water Treatment Plant Tour this Saturday, but we were placed on the wait list and promised another tour in the future instead. Well I hate idle time and since I MUST be doing something worthwhile and active on Saturday, then I might as well knock out several places on my To Visit List. The majority of these stops are near the 101 freeway from the SFV Valley all the way to where it ends near Huntington Park.
First Stop: Old Trapper's Lodge Statues at Pierce College
I've been wanting to check out these quirky and macabre statues at Pierce College for some time now. I've been to the college before but that was before I knew these statues were located there.

Second Stop: Russian/Ukranian/Georgian Lunch at EuroAsia
17209 Ventura Blvd
Encino, CA 91316
I read about this restaurant several months ago in some publication. I think Sklar might have even hosted an event here already.
Check out their menu here: http://euroasiaca.com/menu.htm
Third Stop: Sweet! for dessert at Hollywood & Highland
6801 Hollywood Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90028
LA Times article on Sweet!: http://articles.latimes.com/2013/feb/09/home/la-hm-erskine-20130209
Its a giant sized candy store with a Willy Wonka theme. If we get lucky, we will meet a very creepy version of Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka in person.
Fourth Stop: The Hollywood Wax Museum
The cost to enter is $17 per person, but where else in LA can you see frightening versions of celebrities? The wax figures are so poorly done, that the celebrities end up looking like ghoulish versions of themselves.

Los Angeles, CA 90028
Fifth and Final Stop: Voodoo artifacts and more for sale at Saydel
2475 East Slauson Avenue
Huntinton Park, Ca 90255
I have seen Voodoo stores in New Orleans, but I didn't realize LA had at least one as well. This place also sells stuff for other occult religions like Santeria and Ifa. How cool is that?
