Berlin Currywurst in Silverlake Style

Back when I lived in Los Feliz and didn't have a job (those were the days, lemme tell you), I would ask myself daily what I wanted for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The answer was "Berlin Currywurst", but I ate at home or went other places from time to time for the sake of variety.

Yes, folks, it's that good. I was hooked the moment I tried it. Where had Currywurst been all my life??? I know Wurstkuche had already been around a while, but that place is crazy busy. At least at BC I knew I could get a seat. And the owners, Hardeep and Lena, are the most welcoming, friendly young couple from Germany. They are trying to make it here in looney LA by bringing us their delicious German street food—my kind of people.

The Berlin Currywurst take on Currywurst is the traditional sliced sausage—all the -wursts in the German alphabet—curry ketchup and two fluffy slices of tasty farmers' bread. You can also add one of their flavorful, fruity sauces and/or a side of fries. Super yum, I promise you. Please note to all you south Asian curry lovers—curry ketchup does not taste like Asian curry. It's more like a sublimely spicy ketchup.

The Yelp reviews are in, and they are very positive (except for some haterz, who will be found and forced to eat McDonald's):

"You know who" even posted a review. ;)

It's about time we bring a Pleasure Palate posse to BC to show our love for all things astronomically gastronomical. Service at BC is counter to (beautiful wooden) table. We'll order individually, and I'll do my best to rassle us a table. I look forward to seeing you there!

Currywurst was delicious. I even ordered seconds. Afterwards, we went next door to Pazzo Gelato, which has some of the most flavorful gelato and sorbetto I've ever tasted.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
