Please note: I am hosting this event for both Gay Foodies and Pleasure Palate members. This event is part of a series of events held throughout the day. You do not need to attend the other events to attend this one. The events are all a la carte.

What do Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, Natalie Wood, Don Knotts, Truman Capote, Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau,  Eva Gabor, Farrah Fawcett, and Merv Griffin have in common? They were all buried at Pierce Bros. Westwood Village Memorial Park.

This is a small cemetery packed with star power. Its not easy to find even witha  GPS, so I recommend reading the reviews and tips from Yelpers: http://www.yelp.com/biz/pierce-brothers-westwood-village-memorial-park-and-mortuary-los-angeles#query:westwood%20cemetery

Its free to enter the museum but parking in the area is challenging. Your best bet is looking for a private parking lot that charges between $3 to $5.

You don't need to look, or pay, for parking. You can drive right into the cemetery and park along the side of the road in there. Turn off Gayley. It looks like you are going into the building on the left, but you will see the cemetery gates on the right.
    There's not a museum there.

This is a fun place........in yeah, a macabre kinda way. Don't forget Rodney Dangerfield with his tombstone that says "there goes the neighborhood!". Also Walter Matthau, Jim Backus, Minnie Ripperton (who had a 5 octave range and sang that crazy song--"Loving You" and is the mother of 'Bridesmaid' star Maya Rudolph.
