SOLD OUT: LA Conservancy Sunset Tour of LA City Hall

  • Aug 24, 2011 · 5:15 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Please note: I am hosting this event for both Gay Foodies and Pleasure Palate. Purchase your tix online BEFORE your RSVP 'Yes' for this event. The tour will sell out, so do not procrastinate. If you wait too long and aren't able to get a ticket, do not come crying to me afterward. I will host a dinner event in the area afterward which I will post as a separate event.

I have completed hosting all the regular LA Conservancy Tours, so going forward I will only host their special tours. Every Summer, for only 3 nights, the LA Conservancy hosts tours of the LA City Hall. I've visiited this building once before during a jury duty break and what little I was able to see was pretty impressive. So I expect the LA Conservancy Tour to offer me an even better tour since they sometimes take you to the restricted access areas.

City Hall explores the fascinating hisory and magnificent architecture of Los Angeles' great 1928 civic building. Includes a visit to the tower observation deck, subject to availability. To purchase your tix, use this link:

Below are the details for the evening tour. Please be sure to identify the correct information for the particular tour you have registered for. If you have any questions, please contact the Conservancy [masked] or (213) 623-2489. The tour begins at 5:30 p.m and is expected to end around 7:15 PM. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in. Please, no pets or strollers. No refunds or exchanges. Tours will run rain or shine.

CITY HALL MEETING LOCATION: The foot of the Spring Street steps, City Hall, 200 N. Spring, Los Angeles, 90012 .

DIRECTIONS: From the 101 Freeway south, exit Temple Street. Head south on Temple and turn right (south) on Spring Street. City Hall will be on your left. From the 101 Freeway north, exit Spring Street. Head south on Spring Street two blocks to City Hall, which will be on your left.

PARKING: There are public lots south of City Hall on Spring street at 2nd Street, and north of City Hall at Spring and Caesar Chavez across from Olvera Street.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: It will be necessary for all tourgoers to pass through security. Please make sure that you have photo ID with you. Thank you, and enjoy the tour!

City Hall is really very pretty, passed by 100 times but never got chance to go in. It's a great tour, I am so glad I made it.

If you RSVP'd 'Yes' for the event and didn't purchase the tix yet, don't cry later on if you find out that they sold out.
