Rice Bowl Yumminess at A-Won

Wasima hosted an event here in the fall. Unfortunately, I was unable to go, so I am (ahem) borrowing her meetup idea.

A-Won serves up Japanese food with a K-Town twist.

They are known for their rice bowls. Steaming, yummy rice topped with raw fish or an assortment of roe (roes?).

Be mindful of the PP attendance and three strikes policies.  No-shows are deeply unappreciated by everyone.

Check out Wasima's review at her blog, Tiffin Unboxed.

I hope you can join me!

Totally agree. I'm not as much into the salad. Found myself adding a lot of seasonings.

We really liked the al bap, the eel rolls, and the fish casserole. The sashimi salad could have used some extra oomph.

Mmm, great K-town find. I really enjoyed everything we tried, especially the al bap fish roe bowl. I'll have to return to try more dishes. Good dining with everyone!

Thx to Andree for taking us in for a treat! The fish roe rice bowl is my most favorite, and the fish casserole is too a divine. Didn't care much for the sashimi salad as it's fairly bland while some fish chunks r rubbery. Not cheap at all if u come alone...

Have fun, Andree and all. Let me know what you like. Al bap is a must and there was some type of spicy cod casserole that was great.

get the al bap (roe rice); it's the best i've had anywhere! also, their sashimi salad is HUGE and very fresh. their eel w/rice dish is also excellent!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
