New Year's Dim Sum Brunch at Full House Seafood Restaurant in Arcadia

PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF PLEASURE PALATE'S ATTENDANCE AND 3-STRIKES POLICIES REGARDING CANCELLATIONS WITH LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE AND "NO SHOWS."  UNLESS YOU CONTACT ME, YOU WILL BE MARKED AS A "NO SHOW" IF YOU DO NOT ARRIVE WITHIN 20 MINUTES AFTER THE START OF THE EVENT.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY TO FIND PARKING AS THIS PLACE GETS BUSY QUICKLY!  ALTHOUGH I HAVE RESERVATIONS FOR 11:00AM, THE RESTAURANT INSISTS THAT OUR ENTIRE PARTY MUST ARRIVE ON TIME DUE TO THE EXPECTED CROWDS.  THIS EVENT IS CAPPED AT "24," NO EXCEPTIONS, SORRY.

We will be dining"Family Style." The food bill will be split evenly amongst all attendees. Attendees will be responsible for paying for their own beverages. Please note that flexibility is an important part of family-style dining, and if you want to take a chance on attending, you have to be amenable to what the group will order. You don't have to eat everything that is ordered, but everyone pays equally, whether you eat everything or not. The goal for family-style dining is to allow for the entire group to sample as wide a variety of dishes as possible.  If one or more attendees choose to order on their own, that limits the group's choices, which defeats the purpose of what Family-Style Dining is all about. If this definition of Family-Style Dining doesn't feel comfortable, this may not be the right type of event for you.

For the last couple of years, I've been hosting dim sum brunches to either bid adieu to the current year or to ring in the new year.  So, let's ring in the new year with friends and fellow foodies at Full House, known for their consistently good food and inexpensive prices.  That being said, the anticipated cost per person is about $15, depending on how much food we order, any beverages you order, tea surcharge, tax and gratuity.  As such, please bring at least $30 in CASH to settle your portion of the bill (small denominations highly preferred).

We will meet in front of the restaurant before 11:00am.  As always, please call or text me if you arrive before I do, or are running late, or are lost.  I will email all attendees my cell number the night before the event.

    Hi Sklar,
Will there be a fee if I bring in some bubbly? After all, it's new year.

    • Sally

What's the fee? If it's reasonable I'm happy to chip in.

There's a Flat Corkage Fee of $10.00, so if anyone has any left over bubbly they want to pop here, feel free to bring it along. However, make sure you chill your bubbly before bringing it, as I believe, with them being so busy on this day, they may not be able to bring us ice buckets.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
