This highly acclaimed restaurant located near the Venice boardwalk, offers exceptional Italian cuisine in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. For Dine LA, they are offering a 5 course meal for only $45 (not including beverage, tax or tip). On their current menu they offer a 4 course tasting menu for $50, and a 6 course tasting menu for $80, so 5 courses for $45 is a good deal for what should be a great meal. The regular menu items will also be available. The 2013 Zagat Guide gives Piccolo a 28 for food, a 25 for decor, and a 26 for service (scores of 26 - 30 mean "Extrodinary to Perfection"). Here's the Dine LA menu:

 

First Course (choose one): 

lingua

slow cooked beef tongue, grilled chef’s accompainements

 pomodori

heirloom tomatoes, imported burrata, basil, Larino olive oil

 capesante

seared sea scallops, parmesan-truffle fondue

 

Second Course (choose one): 

gnocchi

lobster, sugo, roasted garlic oil, thyme

 spaghettini

slow-roasted ox-tail, vaccinara ragú

garganelli

braised rabbit ragú, aromatic spices, white wine

 

 Third Course:

plin

fontina filled, handcrafted ravioli. Parmesan truffle butter sauce, fresh truffle shavings

 

Fourth Course (choose one):

vitello

smoked salt-roasted veal skirt, seasonal mushrooms, veal reduction

tagliata

seared, natural, australian kobe n.y. steak, lemon-thyme pesto, maldon salt

rana

mediterannean monkfish, wrapped in tuscan kale, riso venere, cinzano cream

 

Fifth Course (choose one): 

bicchierino

mascarpone cream, chocolate ganache

bignole

puffs filled with valrhona gianduja chocolate

carpaccio

marinated hawaiian pineapple, thinly sliced

panna

white peach pannacotta, pistacchios

tortino

ricotta and mascarpone torte: saffron coulis

tronchetto

banana-mascarpone parfait: chocolate sauce
