Favorite Cookbooks

A handwritten cookbook from a Louisiana convent - found in a vintage bookstore. Also a cookbook that was a compilation of Getty Museum staff's favorite recipes. I like to improvise with cooking and don't follow recipes too closely.

Best Meal I Ever Ate

French family Christmas dinner in Paris - it lasted about 8 hours with 16 courses (new dishes, cutlery and wines with each course). Locally, my recent favorite was Ludo Bites, the second time. It really challenged our palates and woke them up!

Favorite Comfort Foods

Nothing beats my mom's cooking. But in the absence of that bit of comfort....Steak, Indian curries, Asian soups, mac & cheese, chocolate, tea, ice cream, really good bread and butter.

Favorite Cuisines

Indian, Thai, Japanese, Italian, French, Chinese, authentic Mexican

Favorite Restaurants

Mr. Chow, Pizzicotto, A.O.C., Sea Harbour, Din Tai Fung, Yai, Church and State, Petrossian, Providence. Most of all, I love Street Foods and chef tasting meals at good restaurants - my tastes cover all ends of the spectrum.

"Please contact me with any suggestions for events. I am partial to Eastside since I live here, but will drive anywhere for good food (even out of state). I am into the arts, so hopefully we can combine some culture with our eating from time to time."
