Mission: Ideally, we’d like 6-8 regular attendees to monthly contribute 8-12 pages (double-space, 12 pt font) of commercial fiction*. Format: workshopping. Intention: Everybody ‘gets time’. Motto: Always honest, but never mean.

6-8 regular attendees. Regular implies some level of commitment and allows for remembering each other’s plot lines, characters, revisions, etc. We’re trying to create a writing lab, a safe haven from the writing jungle: a ‘place’ to nurture experimentation + take chances.

Meet 3rd or 4th Thursday every month, 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Non-summer: library meeting rooms, etc. Summer: outside. We usually meet somewhere in NW quadrant of TC, with I-694, I-394, I-494 and I-94 serving as rough boundaries (subject to change).

*Commercial fiction: character + plot-driven > romance, thrillers, mysteries, crime, science fiction, fantasy, noir, speculative, suspense, etc.

This is a venue for writers and not for sales types to pitch their wares.
