A murder so heinous, we gasp without pretense. A character so sexually reckless, it raises our ire (and rattles our cages). A sci-fi world so completely evoked, it makes our head spin. A jihadist so crazy, we fear for the end of the world.

These are plot lines from writers in this group.

This is a group for writers of ATGL (adult-themed, genre-leaning) FICTION. Other descriptors: edgy, messy, thought-provoking. This is a group that loves genres! Mystery, Suspense, Romance, Sci-fi, etc. ((Btw, where are the mystery writers?! (Something more jolting than a cozy, please?)).

Writers in this group are seasoned; they’re not beginners.

We're looking for regular attendees. Regular implies some level of commitment that allows for remembering each other’s plot lines, characters, revisions, etc. We’re trying to create a writing lab, a safe haven from the writing jungle: a ‘place’ to nurture experimentation + take chances.

Format: Workshopping. Length: 8-12 pages (double-space, 12 pt font). Intention: Everybody ‘gets time’. Motto: Always honest, but never mean.

If you're considering membership, please know your fiction genre and be passionately unapologetic about it. You'll need to submit five pages of your work.

Meet 3rd or 4th Thursday every month, 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Non-summer: library meeting rooms, etc. Summer: outside. We usually meet somewhere in NW quadrant of TC, with I-694, I-394, I-494 and I-94 serving as rough boundaries (subject to change).

This is a venue for writers and not for sales types to pitch their wares.

Don't tell us that old lady screamed. Bring her on and let her scream. ~ Samuel Clemens
