This group has been set up to provide project managers in the PMI-SFBAC region with support while they are looking for new career opportunities.
It will be held twice a month (every 1st and 3rd Tuesday, from 7:30am-9:00am) in San Francisco - for location details see above.
The meeting will be open to currently unemployed project management professionals as well as those in search of a new position while still being employed.
If there is interest from either side, representatives from recruiting and contracting agencies can be invited to give an overview of the current market situation, special skills that are in high demand, and potential trends.
During the events participants will:
• Share information on useful websites, job search opportunities, social media
• Discuss current project management as well as recruiting trends
• Initiate peer reviews on their own CV and/or online presence (e.g. website, LinkedIn)
The ‘PMI-SFBAC – Job Search Group’ will provide the attendees with much needed face-to-face support while they are trying to accomplish one of the most difficult tasks in their work life: finding a new position where they can apply and develop their project management skills.
Note for Recuiters:
Please note that this meeting is for project managers who are looking for new job opportunity and who want to discuss the way to get there!
As much as we are happy to connect with you, it does not make sense for you to spend 90 minutes in this meeting - and to take up a seat from somebody who potentially would like to join and now has been put on the waiting list. We are more than happy to have us join for the last 15 minutes of any future meeting, but we would like to coordinate that.
Please contact the meeting host upfront through this website - by clicking on the name and then 'Send email'. We will get back to you asap and arrange an appropriate time and date.
