DCPA Meeting at GV Expo

Fellow podcasters!

It's been a while, but we're ready to get the gang back together for a gathering at the Government Video Expo in DC on Wednesday, November 30. The theme of this meetup is "Lessons Learned," and we'll be discussing planning, production, legal, security, distribution, and promotion issues prevelant in the Government space.

We're looking for volunteers to speak on related topics (examples listed below) and show their Government-related videos. Please let us know if you would like to help out.

Please let me know if you would like to speak on a "common mistake beginners make." Otherwise, I will plan to give the entire overview of these topics myself. Shouldn't last more than an hour, plus discussion time. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

It was a small crowd (and not many new folks from the GV Expo), but I enjoyed seeing my fellow podcasters again and speaking on "The 10 Biggest Mistakes Beginning Web Video Producers Make." Would like to see the group begin meeting regularly again next year.

Good material, but I could only stay for about 20 min of Michael's part. The main drawback was the meetup came at the end of a very long day at the convention center and If I did not get out of there to get some food, I was going to pass out! Still I appreciate the efforts of Rich and Michael.

Meeting ran late but content was great. Too much competition from other similar groups. Attendance was low.
