Your Podcast as a Channel! ...at a New Location!

This location is shown only to members

This month is something special. and sorry about the late notice (it took a bit of time to set up this month).

First, we are moving to a new location at:

For Your Imagination
22 West 27th Street
6th Floor
New York, NY 10001

Second, starting at 6:00 PM, on October 22, 2008, a screening of a documentary about YouTube content creators titled "I Want My Three Minutes Back" will be shown.

Third, we will be giving away a couple of new books about podcasting.

Finally, Rob Blatt will be speaking starting around 7:30 PM about:

The talk: Your Podcast As A Channel
As a format, podcasts are just one of many ways to spread your content. Limiting yourself to audio or video on your site and iTunes or the directories can be limiting. If you think about your show as one of your channel instead of the only method of communication, you'll see more opportunity for growing your audience. This talk was originally titled "Podcasting is Dead" but the new title is a little less... dramatic.

it was my first podcast meeting. they had an interesting guest speaker with a cool presentation. and their other speaker provided a lot of info on social network sites, and building an audience, etc. it was all informative, exciting and comfy(loved the gallery-like space with the cushy couches and pillows). no one there requested that i talk about myself or why i was there (and since i keep to myself sometimes, i appreciated that). no one tried to get me to sign up for anything; as i have noticed some "meet-ups" are scheduled to introduce people to their school/classes. but this meet-up had no BS. plus the people there were polite and courteous. and the facilitator, douglas, was real nice too.
