Leigh I'm up for it, agreed about the suburban thing.? I'm out here in the burbs and it's pretty hard to make it in.? After a few miss fires of podcasts I've finally started one up.? http://midwestmedianow.com
? we've also partnered with other people talking about media issues to distribute their shows.? It's almost becoming like a magazine formate.
I'm also starting up a social site around it.? We have a small group that gets together on Wed mornings at Starbucks.? I want to build like Media Makers in Boston.
My show covers what's going on here in the Midwest.? But I hoping to get a little more organized and start doing a ustream of the meetings too.? It's crazy there's a group about podcasting and we don't podcast our group get together.
We hope to do one show a month at Mercury Cafe in the city but other wise be in the burbs.? I'm open to ideas.

I've made some great friends through this group whose podcasting expertise and advice has been invaluable, and was wondering whether there's any interest in trying to have regular meetings again.
My own suggestion would be that we address more issues surrounding how podcasting can be integrated into a larger social media network plan -- whether for personal or professional branding. We have several members who can address this.
I also think that at least half of the meetups should be in easy-to-get to suburban locations. Many of our members simply don't live a quick CTA or cab ride from the Loop, Downtown or Navy Pier.
