I went to the 9:00 show and left feeling less than fulfilled. The ambiance was not erotic, it was downright NASTY and raunchy. I think that the burlesque dancer did her thing, however, for there to have been so many women in the audience I think a male dancer would have been appropriate. I give it up for the poets who did their thing, remained on point and completed their poem with fluidity. For the other poets and comedian who were on constant drunken joke time... their poems could have been erotic had they flowed with ease to create the images intended. Furthermore, the language used by the host and hostess was offense and harsh. Perhaps it is just me, but being repeatedly referred to as "bitches" is less that erotic.

Maybe it's just me. But the 9pm show was too over the top. It was NOT Erotic, it was obscene. It wasn't tasteful at all. The sale of sex toys and demos of gadgets, condoms literally scattered on all the counters/bar, and later thrown at the "Poets" on stage. Then the loud and obnoxious SE residents.... Oh my!! I hope the 6pm show was better. I left at 11:45pm and they were still going strong. I thought I was at a raunchy Comedy Show rather than a Poetry event.

The 6:00 pm show was a tad better, but not much. The same thing occurred but not as bad as the 9:00 pm show.

That is a good way to put it..."a raunchy comedy show."

This could have been a very classy event. The eroticism was there, but there was too much ratchet-ness and disrespect. It's a shame to hear the MC referring to women as bitches considering that over 85% of the crowd were women. Additionally, it started almost an hour late...Hate to say it but they lived up to what is expected events hosted by African Americans...COME ON PEOPLE!

I agree Tracey. It was a lot of harsh language and waaay too many "bitches" being thrown around. I kept hoping it would get better.

This was my first meetup with this group, I must say they were very unorganized I paid money not to stand all night or to stand in the cold for 30 minutes. Excellent crown and the Poets were off the hook good entertainment. I will be going back in June when they return. I will get there a lot earlier hoping to get a seat.

It was rather raunchy but it was all in good drunken sexually fueled fun ;)

Can't say it was well-organized but I can see the thought was there at least. The best part was really the crowd. Once they got liquored up it definitely was in your face with Walt I believe animating his sexual experiences on stage for us. Lol I would do it again. Very entertaining to say the least. Excellent, beautiful crowd!

Couple questions, I purchased tickets as well and the website indicates that the show starts at 6pm. The meet up has show start time of 9pm. Can someone confirm what time the group is meeting? Also, exactly where will the meet up happen? Will there be a table or reserved area for the group? Is there a point person that we ask for when we arrive, so that we are directed to the group? (I've never been to LIV before so I’m unfamiliar with the layout). Thanks

Let me explain the best i can and maybe it will help you. I was given 100 tickets for this event. Once we sold out of our tickets I listed the event as sold out because I didnt want members to purchase tickets from multiple links that other groups were providing. As you see I didnt list anything for any of the other shows or websites just brown paper tickets which is a pay link that I control. There is another group that is promoting the a 6pm show that from what I read from their organizer is exclusive to them. I sent a message out and posted in the group board of our group that the only event we were responsible for was the one we were promoting for this exact reason. Once the brown paper tickets ended sales everyone starting finding alternatives to getting tuckets on their own or through other groups... if you go to the site where you purchased your tickets from there should be a contact information of some sort to be able to transfer your ticket or get more information..

I'm trying to help people out as much as possible with this but unfortunately I do not handle tix from other sites or groups what you can also do is send a message tobtue organizer of the black mature singles group (his group has the 6pm show) and he may be able to transfer that for you.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
