I'd love to attend, but do most of the members live on the east side of town?? I live in the Pearl, just west of the Broadway bridge, and was hoping to find a more centrally located group.
I love the idea of a group that mixes reading popular poets with poetry of our own creation, so I WILL try to make it to your April 11 meeting.? Perhaps if enough Westsiders are interested in such a group, we could eventually form a second group in Northwest Portland, or downtown.

Announcing a new Meetup for Poems & Coffee Meetup!
What: Spring Poetry
When: Sunday, April 11,[masked]:00 AM
Where: Fred Myers 3805 SE Hawthorne Blvd Food court Portland, OR 97214
Feel free to bring a poem you've written about spring or a poet you enjoy who has captured the essence of spring in your mind. We will be returning to Sunday mornings since that seems to work best for most people. We will also be meeting at the Fred Meyer on 39th and East Hawthorne since the cafe room is big enough to accommodate enough people and it is relatively quiet as compared to other places. If anyone has any other ideas of quiet places that meet on Sunday mornings, please let me know. Unfortunately, the Mt. Tabor Church is ideal space since its cafe parlor is quiet, but it doesn't open till 12:30pm. Looking forward to seeing new and returning members to this meetup.

Meet other folks who love poetry or write poems. Each time we meet, at a local coffee house, we'll share poems that we love. Either from our favorite poets or from our own collection that we've written.
