Personal, political, provocative, ad-free, The Sun is a monthly American magazine of essays, interviews, short stories, poems, and photography.
Join us Sunday, July 20 at 5p for a discussion of -- exceptionally -- any entry from BOTH: the June and the July issues of THE SUN magazine.
We will meet at a location we used in January: PJ's coffee house on Maple St., at Adams. 2 blocks off St. Charles, 4 blocks off S. Carrollton. We'll be inside or on the patio.
We expect participants to get their own subscription ($39 or $49 online at thesunmagazine.org) -- or borrow the right copy from a SUN subscriber you might know. If you get a trial subscription online, you typically can read the current issue for free. (Or contact me if you need a scanned version of the latest issue.)
The magazine encourages the creation of local SUN GROUPS for purpose of getting readers together to discuss issues' content. This meetup group is the first such group for Louisiana. (Texas has ... close to a dozen.)
