Are you a secret or frustrated poet and wishing to share your poems in a supportive environment?

Well then..... this may be just the ticket.

We offer both a private and public setting, attended by supportive like-minded individuals. 

Every month we will have a poetry potluck.  This is held at a private residence and offers participants the opportunity to share their own poetry, discuss other poetry, and munch on snacks together.  It is less performance oriented and more conversational.  The potluck is informal and no one is required to bring a lot of food - just a little something to share.

We also regularly support at least one open mike session held somewhere in Long Beach or surrounding areas.  Often our members enjoy publicly reading their work and listening to others do so.  We are easily spotted at these venues and try and reserve a table for those who respond that they are going.

We would like to make this a supportive place to vocalize your growing stack of previously written poems and share thoughts with each other regarding them and other topics.  You never know where the discussion will lead!
