The Radiant Love of Maria S.C. (play about M Curie)

The Library of Congress, European Division, the LCPA Polish Language Table,
and the Poiesis Theatre Project invite you to an event Celebrating the 145th Birthday
Anniversary of Maria Skłodowska-Curie, a stage reading of

The Radiant Love of Maria S.C.
- a phantasmagoric play based on real events -
Written by Mimoza Ristova, directed by Naum Panovski
Tuesday, November 20th, 12:00-1:30
Pickford Theater, 3rd floor of the Madison Building

The Radiant Love of Maria S.C. is a poignant play about Maria Skłodowska-Curie’s passionate life and scientific work. It is not a documentary drama. It is a fascinating memory play, about discrimination, repression, and abuse. It is about a bright, smart, talented and passionate woman, a two-time Nobel Prize recipient who is torn apart between her scientific research, her sense of justice between what is right and wrong, her fight for civil/women’s rights, and her passionate and unrequited love. Free and Open to the Public.
