Spring Semester of Polish Language Classes will start on Monday, Jan 26th
Four levels of Polish language instruction will be offered:
Beginners I Thu 1/29 - 4/30
Beginners II
Wed
1/28 - 4/29
Intermediate Mon 1/26 - 4/27
Advanced Tue 1/27 - 4/28
Classes begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8:20 pm

Join us for the annual Pa
czki Feast! The KF celebrates Tlusty
Czwartek (Fat Thursday) before
Sroda Popielcowa (Ash Wednesday) and Lent.
Traditionally, Polish families made pączki and other treats on that day to use all the sugar and fat in the house that would be forbidden during Lent.
Powdered sugar and glazed paczki will be on sale for $2 a piece at the KF between noon and 6PM.

invite you to two classical concerts featuring the
Honors Program Students, age 12 to 18
FRIDAY, JANUARY 23
and
FRIDAY, JANUARY 30
@ 7 P.M.
Levine School of Music is the Washington D.C. region's preeminent center for music education. Students selected for the Honors Program represent the best and brightest musicians of their generation. They are chosen through a rigorous audition and interview process, to be "Ambassadors of Music". These students have been featured at the Kennedy Center and many Embassies in Washington D.C., including the Embassies of Austria, France, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, and Lithuania. They will play a variety of instruments, including piano, guitar, violin, clarinet, and cello.
The concert will include pieces from Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart, Paganini, Slonimski, Glinka, and other composers

Bogna Kicinska - vocal

Will Slater - bass
Bogna Kicinska is a jazz vocalist, violinist, composer and an educator, now based in New York City. Her debut album "The Maze" was released this past October. It draws inspiration from Polish and Latin American folk music, soul and Western classical music, while remaining rooted in jazz.
The winner of many competitions, she has performed with such musicians as Gene Jackson, Gabriel Guerrero as well as Polish legends Danuta Blazejczyk and Jerzy 'Dudus' Matuszkiewicz.
Our concert will feature songs from the artist's album:
"The Maze"
