Saturday Potluck\Picnic in the Park (formerly 3rd Friday)

This month we're trying something different instead of the regular 3rd Friday: a picnic in the park. Bring your picnic blankets or lawn chairs and whatever food you want. Please comment below and let us know what you're bringing.

Potluck Info
Everyone bring your own dish to share with others. You can make it at home or buy it from the market. Bonus points for dishes from your country or culture! You're invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on as well. We'll meet at 12 to hang out (map coming soon) and start eating at 1. Bonjour, hola, namaste, salaam, konnichiwa, merhaba, ni hao, and hello!

How to find us! I'm trying to make it as easy as possible to find us, but it's not so easy if you don't know the area. Here are a few ways to find us:

• View a map of the precise location.

• If you have a smartphone, go to your maps app and copy the coordinates: 29°43'08.0"N 95°23'28.3"W.

• Call Kevin if you get lost:[masked]

• Take a look at this picture! We'll meet close to the obelisk.

When? This one will be Saturday, March 22 at 12pm. We'll eat shortly after.

Where? Hermann Park. View a map of the precise location. If you get lost, call Kevin:[masked]-6260.

Who? Anyone who wants to speak or practice another language.

What?
This is a potluck, so bring some of your favorite drinks and foods. I'll bring some chairs and blankets to sit on, but please bring some of your own if you can. We'll also need some people to bring cups/plates/utensils/napkins. Please comment below and let us know what you're bringing to ensure that this event will be a success. Do you speak another language (or 10)? Do you want to learn or practice another language? Then come join us! You can expect to meet speakers of a variety of languages, and all are welcome.

This is a good opportunity to learn or practice a foreign language with others who are also learning or who are native speakers. It's also a good opportunity to meet a language partner to start a language exchange.

NOTE: Time and place are subject to change! Please check back before the meetup to make sure you have the latest information!  The group is new and we welcome suggestions, so please do contact us if you have any.

Hello all! Is there a plan B inside in case of rain?

    March 21, 2014

I think it is suppose to rain part of the day, not sure at this time if we will get any in the area. I do not know if there is inside area. I guess we will find out, unless someone knows a plan B area.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
