Speaking and learning Italian

I am English but lived and worked in Italy for 12 years. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Italian. I would love to organize an Italian meetup for anyone who already speaks Italian or would like to learn conversational Italian.

    Hello everyone! During the meet-up I recommended the free online language learning software called "duolingo." I have the Italian Rosetta Stone and duolingo is virtually the same with the additional benefit that I can have it on my phone to practice anywhere I want. See link below:

    <https://www.duolingo.com/>;

    The more interesting part about duolingo is that while you are learning a language you are also helping translate the world wide web; this is how duolingo creates value from its millions of users. There is a very cool TED talk about this type of project at the link below. They talk about duolingo towards the end, but the entire talk is very interesting.

    Enjoy!

    Hola, my first language Spanish. Italian is one of the languages I would like to "master". Know a few words/sentences (learned via songs). I will try my best to be there. Catalina

      Thanks Ken. I intend it to be a regular event, probably monthly to start with and if it is popular, maybe every 2weeks.

    Ciao, I'll have an Italian flag on the table so you can find the group. Feel free to bring pen and paper if you'd like to make notes.

    I took 2 years of Italian in high school and have always wanted to dust it off. Unfortunately I live out in Cypress and it's not always that easy for me to get downtown so depending upon the place, I'd love to make it sometime.

    Hi Janet. My parents are from Italy and I understand Italian pretty well. My speaking needs some work, but I am sure you could help me with that. If you picked to meet somewhere in the loop that would be great.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
