Turkish- fluent Spanish- sad, but somewhat functional Urdu- basic and rusty Would love to learn Arabic.
Hi, I'm still fairly new to Houston and trying to meet more people. Turkish is my second language and I'd love to meet other multilingual and international folks, so this sounds fun!
It was good. I think it's especially good for people wanting to learn and practice more common languages like French, Spanish, and Chinese. The 2nd time I attended there was a wider variety of languages, which meant I could practice things. I did also stay a lot longer the 2nd time, as well, and I think that's part of it- the longer you stay, the more likely you are that someone will show up who knows a less common language.
