The Renaissance Fair is a great place to practice all kinds of photography: group, portraits, action, kids, etc.
Carpool and save on parking. I think it cost $10/car.
We will wait 15 minutes by the door (box office area). If no one shows up by then, we will walk inside.
-It gets very dusty there, so expect dust on your camera gears.
-Bring cash because it's a fair and the ATM machines are probably far away somewhere. You have to pay for the games and there are no prizes (how lame is that).
-Use the restroom before you enter the "middle of nowhere" area as there are only port-a-potties. Or use it right in the beginning when it's still clean and don't drink too much water if you don't want to visit the stall again.
-Wear good walking shoes. It's not that big, but just in case.
Please come in costume if you can. You can also rent them there, but it is quite pricey.
The photo contest will be in November.
