Hello sister PLCH members!

This group was established in 2006 by Maura and Kathy. We are a group of women who identify as lesbians, including bi and transgendered women that are single, dating, married, committed, widowed and otherwise. The PLCH is intended to be a safe place to meet other women with similar interests. It is a place to connect intellectually and socially without fear of boundaries being crossed.

For new members, there is no physical "coffee house." PLCH is a virtual gathering place for women in order to meet each other and get together for games, hiking, kayaking, camping, picnics, music, movies, bowling, and any other gatherings members can think up throughout the year.

It is not intended to be a "dating" site. Some members have connected and found relationships through our gatherings, and we are very happy for them! However, if your intention as a member is to pursue members for personal relationships beyond friendship, please respect individual boundaries. Not all members are in the PLCH to find a significant other or to date.

PLCH survives on your input. We are here as administrators, and cannot possibly entertain almost 800 women without your help! Please suggest Meetups! Volunteer to host something in your neighborhood! For example, if you like to hike, pick a park, pick a day, and pick a time. Post it. We will make it an official Meetup event, and it will go out to all members. Then show up and enjoy! It's that simple! (Need place, physical address, date, time, and where to meet!)

We also need the money to keep up the website. It's $19 a month, which is being paid by your coordinator! We will be asking for donations at various events, and will post a mailing address for snail mail donations. Thank you in advance!

We want to thank Maura and Kathy for setting up the PLCH, and Virginia for her role as an administrator. We hope to live up to their commitment to keep PLCH thriving and entertaining for all of its members. We appreciate your comments, input, constructive criticism, and most of all, your participation.
