Portland Active, hereafter referred to as the group, is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members. Consistent with this principle, the group does not condone or tolerate harassment or discrimination from any member towards another, including its leadership, based on race, sex, ethnic or national origin, religion, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, disability or other factors, which does not affect the safety of participants in group activities. Members, which violate this policy may face being restricted from participation in events and/or having their membership revoked.
If a member feels that he or she has been harassed, he or she should make their feelings known to the offending individual(s). If the behavior persists or if the offended individual(s) is uncomfortable confronting the individual(s), please report the problem immediately to a group event organizer as well as to a group lead organizer. All complaints of harassment will be handled by the group leadership or, if the purported offending individual involves the head leadership, by an unbiased secondary committee. If after investigation, a member has been found to have engaged in harassment, actions may be taken to remedy or prevent further harassment which could result in restriction from some group activities or revocation of membership.
