Volunteer Work Party at Hockman Ranch Sanctuary

It's our first work party here! (And these work parties at local farm sanctuaries are always the most favorite events that PAWA does.) We'll be Building "Auntie Julie's House"...

"We will be dedicating this critter house in memory of our very dear friend and constant supporter, Julie (otherwise known as the critters, "Auntie Julie"). She was a huge part of the Hockman Ranch family and we wish to recognize and honor, her love, friendship, compassion and indomitable spirit.

We have a large (wood and steel) run-in shelter we're building out in the back pasture, which PAWA members will be helping with. We'll have all the materials, but if you want to bring extra hammers, electric drills/screwdrivers, etc., we could use the extra tools for all the extra hands. Please, be sure to wear/bring gloves and proper footwear, as well as weather appropriate clothing. Refreshments will be provided."

Some suggestions:
Bring a veg lunch to enjoy afterwards if you like. But be prepared to work and have a fun time too! If you love farm animals, you'll love spending this time with them at this wonderful sanctuary.

Katie, our Event Organizer is looking to carpool from Portland. If you RSVP yes to this event and are interested, please email her at [masked].

Thanks to those that attended! Glad you had a great time, I know they appreciated it so much! Please join them in future work parties as well as ones we schedule for the many other wonderful sanctuaries in our area.

I had so much fun at this event. I enjoyed meeting everyone, and meeting all the animals. I would love to attend more work parties at the sanctuary. It was a great experience.

Due to physical limitations, I don't think I would be of much use.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
