October Theme : : Cages, Confinement

The theme for October is Cages or Confinement

Thank you Angel for the suggestion!

Bring a new piece based on the theme, or something you have that might fit the theme, or something totally unrelated to the theme. Whatever you would like to share. We just want you there! I will provide beverages and chocolate. You can bring a food item to share if you like.

Please note the hours of this meeting. The meeting room was already booked for our normal afternoon hours. It's also a week earlier than usual because I will be out of town the last weekend in October.

Hope to see you there!

I couldn't make the October meeting because I was away. Am I right in thinking there are no future meet-ups planned?

A small group today, but what a great variety of work and inspiration! Thanks to all who attended for the great discussion and for sharing your work with the group.

I've never done a meetup with this group, how does it normally work?

Hi! Everyone typically brings a piece of artwork to share. Each person gets up in front of the group and talks about their work, inspiration, process, blocks... whatever they feel like discussing. Usually there are a few questions, suggestions, comments. It's a very welcoming group. If you want to come and observe that is fine as well. Hope to see you in October!

Looks like I won't be able to make it since it's the same time as Adobe Day at LavaCon, but I like the theme and hope to catch the next month.

Oh no. The meeting is during church, so I won't be able to make it. It is too bad we couldn't try a different branch for our usual time.

Oh...I want to come, and was sooo ready, however, and friend and I are selling our embellished lamps at Art in the Burbs that whole weekend, and breakdown of our booth is at one! If you are in need of a great place to buy art, this is it! It takes place at Alberta Rider Elementary School in Tigard, OR. I do so much of my holiday shopping there! Check out the website for Art in the Burbs. 20% of the artists "take" goes to fund art in the schools! I will shoot for the November meeting! Can't wait to see what the theme is!

I'm doing Portland's 5K Halloween "Run like hell" at 9:00am that morning, will 'run like hell' to the Hollywood library afterwards. Is there a monthly set day these fall on? Thanks :)

The meetings are most often the last Sunday of the month from 1:30 to 3:30pm. But sometimes it changes due to meeting room availability or my schedule.

Wish I could attend, but I'll be away. Look forward to November!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
