Portland Figure Drawing Meetup Group page
To see things in new ways, to be motivated to finish projects that have hit a snag, truthful critiques, be exposed to new ideas and techniques. I get so much satisfaction from what I make, but can't sustain the motivation if I'm painting alone.
To increase my representational skills, to improve my life drawing proportions, to find a way to sell more.
Acrylic, watercolor, woodcarving, clay, quilted wallhangings...
Alberto Vargas, Earl Moran, Harrison Fisher, Georgia O'Keefe, Steve Hanks, Olivia Berardinis, KHenderson
I'm interested in meeting other artists, socializing, motivation, critiques, brainstorming... You can never have too many artist friends, and I will never stop learning.
Variety of people with varied backgrounds/ media used. Honesty in critiques. Lots of enthusiasm and encouragement. Motivation to create something outside your norm(comfort zone) is provided by the monthly themes (homework).
