I like the community compost idea. When we lived in Bowdoinham, the recycling center had such a pile. You could both add to it and take from it. I think I'll suggest that to the people here in Sabattus. By the way, the recycling center is also a good source of rotting leaves. A couple of these posts are likely to end up in my book, Mainely Organic--with the writers' permission, of course.

HELP!

We live in Portland and don't have anywhere to bring our compost!
We were just turned away officially from the community gardens
and we don't know anyone who owns their own home or has their
own garden or compost pile.

We are sitting on 20 gallons of yummy compost right now that is a
two month buildup.

Please offer your compost pile or any resources you may have!

We've exhausted all of our potential resources.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
