December Permaculture Movie Night: Anima Mundi

Join us for the latest season of our $1 Permaculture Movie Nights! An enriching and affordable way to pass a winter's evening with other members of our local permaculture group, these evenings begin with a brief potluck supper and are followed by a newish movie with relevance to ecological living, permaculture and resilience-building.  This year we will be running movie nights once a month, December through April.

Our December film will be "Anima Mundi: Permaculture, Peak Oil, Climate Change and the Soul of the World" (sounds ambitious for a film, yes?).  Anima Mundi is a new [ish] documentary on Permaculture, the Gaia theory, Peak Oil survival and Climate Change featuring David Holmgren (co-originator of Permaculture), John Seed (Deep Ecology), Dr Stephan Harding (Gaia Science and author of Animate Earth), Michael C Ruppert (from the movie Collapse), Michael Reynolds (from the film The Garbage Warrior), Noam Chomsky and Permablitz.  Watch a trailer here.  Running time is 1h 18 min.

6:30  Potluck supper (bring a dish to share and your potluck kit - dish/bowl/utensils/cup)

7:00 Announcement (bring any you have!) followed by the movie!

8:20 Brief De-brief and Closing....

The Resilience Hub & Portland Maine Permaculture would like to thank the University of New England Environmental Council for their continued support of this movie series.

Its a good movie to put in the tool bag for engaging people that are unfamiliar with the big "3"; resource depletion, economic uncertainty and climate change...

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
