Portuguese Language Study Group

Last meeting we had the joy to welcomed two new members, Kelly Edgington and Chris Malm. Kelly lived in Bahia, married a Brasilian woman, and now with their three children had settled in the Twin Cities.  Chris joined the “Level 1 Workshop” this summer, and continued studying on his own.  Saturday was the first time he joined the meetings and we were impressed with his progress.

Lee brought the reading material about the challenges that Law Enforcement faces in regard to their valuable partners , dog sniffers: “The work done by sniffer dogs in the US will be discussed this week at the Supreme Court”…

We also read about pets’ weight problems : “A survey in the UK found that one third of the dogs surveyed ate mostly food scraps, and 42% received some type of treats daily. Therefore, it’s estimated that 35% of British dogs suffer from overweight or obesity”.
