February's wonderful Guest Speaker is the widely respected intuitive spiritual teacher and healer, María Jesús Lopez.
Her talk will be "HOW TO PARENT YOUR INNER CHILD". María was one of our most popular speakers at the Positive Living Network in 2011 and, due to demand, we are delighted to welcome her back this year. We strongly advise that you guarantee your place by paying in advance via this site. This will also guarantee you a seat at the front tables for this talk.
María says "Getting in touch with our inner child is not always easy. This is natural. The parts of us that were split off at a young age had to go away for good reasons - fear, neglect, misunderstanding. These young parts were not allowed to express their overwhelming feelings, so they took the feelings away with them.When we invite this lost inner child back into our lives, we have to be ready for her to express a lot of distress.
But what do we do then?
How Do We Soothe the Inner Child?
Some of us can blame our parents because we might feel like they didn't do a good job as parents. And that might be the case. But instead of playing the blame game we can become empowered and activate our "inner parents" and probide all the love, acceptance and understanding that we have been longing for so we can truly be ourselves."
María's presentation will include some exercises and structured conversation in small groups at tables which is designed to allow you to become whole as you reconnect with the archetypes of mother, father and inner child.
