1st meetup - discussing Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges

Hi everyone!

August is always a difficult one to get a group together, so how does September sound for our first meetup?

To give us a starting point, let's discuss some Borges - for the uninitiated, Labyrinths is a collection of short stories, so read as little or as much as you like and we'll chat about it over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee at The Bridge Cafe in Shoreditch.

Looking forward to meeting you!

A good book choice for the first meeting. Other attendees were friendly and well-read. The discussion didn't go into as much depth as I'd like, but that's understandable for a first meeting.

It was a nice meeting with nice people and most important ideas to remember. Excellent.
Looking forward to the next meeting.

Great choice of starting publication Emma! Some interesting perspectives shared. I feel that it gave a good platform for potential future meetups.

Thank you Emma for organising. I really enjoyed the discussion and Borges was a great choice for a 1st meet.
For the next meet I suggest Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle. It's satire and only 192 pages.
As a venue I suggest the Kings Cross Social Club:
