"Book Club"

Note that we are getting close to 20 people at the Thursday meetups, even if they don't RSVP here.

More of a "subject specific" discussion group. The intention is to come together once a month to discuss a book, podcast episode, specific subject of interest, etc.

Subject will be: Morality. What is it and is it relative or absolute?

The article on moral relativism will prove the best fodder for ideas and debate. If you have material of interest that relates, please post it here for all to enjoy.

I'm sorry, I ran late at track practice and won't be able to get there!

Big thanks to Gale for suggesting Radiolab's podcast on Morality and leading our discussion. Once again I feel like you guys are helping me become a more effective, rational being!

Good news, everyone! The author of "A Short Stay in Hell", Steven L Peck (an active Mormon), will be joining us for our discussion of his book!

Unfortunately, as he has a conflict on April 4th, we will be moving this book back to our May 2nd meeting. I will be posting the revised subject for our April 4th meeting in the next few days. If you have a suggestion, please post in the comments.

If you can't get ahold of a copy, don't have 2.5 hours to spend reading, or can't get enough of the book there was a recent Mormon Stories panel discussion with the author that you may enjoy: http://mormonstories.org/a-short-stay-in-hell-with-steven-l-peck/
