How long were you in the church?

25 years.

What caused you to question the church?

The primary issue that caused me to question the search was the problem of evil and suffering in the world. From there though, my quest for truth led me to start questioning everything from the now glaringly obvious inconsistencies in the Bible to how it was canonized to the role that the Bible has played in issues such as slavery and LGTB. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that Christianity in particular and religion as a whole was not true.

Although I was never Mormon, I was brought up in a conservative, Evangelical upbringing that I left about 6 years ago.
