Learn how to become a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP)

Michael Gan, M. Photog. Cr. CPP, F-PPC, S-PPC PPA#236130

A studio owner since 1979 and a practicing professional since 1978, Michael Gan, M. Photog.Cr.CPP has been a certified photographer since 1983. Very active with the Professional Photographers of America, Michael has served on the certification commission, the PPA board of directors and is currently a certification image submission judge. Locally, he has also been a past president of NCPP and twice chairman of PPC’s Western States Convention (1986 and[masked]). A national lecturer along with his wife, Leslie Artis-Gan, M.Photog.Cr., he has helped other photographers to recapture the excitement of the creative process.

Michael will be speaking about certification. He will talk about what it takes to become a certified photographer (with a PPA PowerPoint presentation), what certification is, and what it is not, and why you should become certified – not just for your own personal benefit, but for the good of professional photography. Michael will then answer any questions, as well as how the certification process can even strengthen your professional photography association

The lecturer did not show which was frustrating and disorganized, but I met some really nice people who were open to share their expertise.

I'm sorry you had a disappointing experience, Alexanna. Since I have been a member, we have never had a guest speaker not show up. If you are interested in becoming a Certified Professional Photographer, I can probably help you. I have passed the test and just need my images reviewed for my CPP. Let me know if you want help obtaining your CPP.
