Randy Silver, MA, Cr. Photog., is a third-generation professional photographer. His first book entitled The French Landscape: Images of a Special Light was published in 2008, and his second book, Venice ~ Croatia ~ Athens : Images of a Special Light was published in 2012. His work has been published in Outdoor Photographer, Sierra, Country Inns, Sierra Heritage, Frommer’s New World of Travel, Antiques West, Peninsula Magazine, and Northern California Homes and Gardens, among others.
Randy’s award winning black-and-white fine-art infrared photography has been exhibited at Stanford University, the Hewlett Packard Corporate Gallery, and in San Francisco at the 595 Market Street Gallery, Marathon Plaza Gallery and the Atrium Gallery. Most recently his work was exhibited at Mistral.
Randy holds the degree of Photographic Craftsman from Professional Photographers of America. He was the first recipient of the annual “Certified Photographic Consultant of the Year” granted by Photographic Marketing International. He served as a commissioner of history, arts and science for the City of San Carlos. He taught photography for the cities of San Carlos, Belmont, Menlo Park and Redwood City for 13 years and for the National Sierra Club for 7 years.
His work is held in private collections and he has two large B&W infrared photographs in the permanent collection at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
Randy’s photography tours took him throughout the United States, Canada, the British Isles and Ireland. He has photographed eight times in France as well as in China, Tibet, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Prague, Russia, Scotland, Italy, Croatia, Greece, and Norway.
