NYC Meditate in Prospect Park & Central Park for Free

Please always check on the Meetup event to see if it has been cancelled if it has been raining or bad weather looks likely. Thank you.

Well, that about says it all!

I've been thinking for some time about getting a group of people together to practice meditation in the park.

It would be really wonderful to get everyone together. And there is a special beauty about a group of people practicing meditation in the park - especially in New York, the speedy city!

Maybe grab a coffee or tea afterwards and hang out a little bit.

So, let's meet and just take it from there.

Parents with kids are welcome!

And, of course, it's totally free.

A student of Tibetan Buddhism for a long time, I got back from spending a few years in the Himalayas in 2009. Happy to offer a few pointers to help you get started if you’d like.

Please go to  WWW.DHARMASUN.ORG  and  WWW.WHATMEDITATIONREALLYIS.COM  for excellent free video instructions on practicing meditation - it's just amazing what is online these days!!! I had to go to Tibetan Buddhist Monasteries in the Himalayas - you can watch it at home on your laptop!! It's just incredible....

Bring a yoga mat/ blanket + a comfy cushion to sit on cross-legged (or a chair if better for you), and water.

Please wear layers as it may warm up or cool down. Take care.

Check Meetup group "Buddhist Events New York" to hear about teachers and classes in the NY metro.

And don't miss "Dharma Drink" at the Rubin Museum Lounge on Friday nights - here on Meetup too.
