Discussion: Benghazi Attacks

  • 60 Wall Street Atrium

  • [The evening after election night might not be the best time, but I am trying to keep the first Wed schedule. Whoever wins, life will still go on and the Benghazi issue isn't going away]

I would like you to refer articles that you might think interesting for the group to discuss. Post them in the comments section so that everyone can access them. I want to hit the following points:

    1. a brief timeline of the attacks and basic open questions.

    2. free speech issues surrounding the Mohammad movie

    3. article from David Ignatius (informally considered CIA's man in WaPo)

    4. Obama's speech and official response (did the administration refuse additional security that was requested?)

should be interesting to try to piece together the pieces.

Dyutiman has cancelled the event, which is probably for the best given the weather. However, I hope it's rescheduled for sometime not-too-far in the future; the topics are interesting.

The weather is going to make this pretty brutal. Are we *sure* the space is still open? I don't want to slog through snow and what looks like will be sketchy transit options if there's much chance it won't be open.
