I created this Meetup group to offer yoga to anyone from the seasoned practitioner to the curious beginner. I live in downtown Decatur and have a private yoga studio to offer affordable yoga those interested in stretching, relieving stress, meditating, breathing, and getting in shape from the inside out. Yoga has changed my life in so many positive ways, including turning me from a "type A" exerciser to a mindful yogini..not to mention toning my body and getting me in great shape.

I've began teaching Hot style yoga in 2005 and hold 100 hour certifications in both Hot Core Power Yoga and Hot Vinyasa yoga, and in 2008 began and completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training to become certified to teach Pranakriya yoga, a kripalu based hatha yoga lineage. Classes can range from a gentle stretch class to a meditative focus to a workout class in a vinyasa style with many sun salutations and long holds. All levels are invited..modifications and variations are demonstrated to encourage beginners while still challenging long time yogis.

I am sharing my yoga with others economically and safely, and I'm offering classes for only $5-$10 donation to accommodate your budget in a challenging economy.  I also offer class cards for rates at a fraction of studio prices, and will be happy to explore "creative financing"..ie..bartering!  Do you offer yard work, handman/woman, or other services you'd like to trade for yoga classses??  well, just let me know!

I am a certified yoga teacher and registered with the Yoga Alliance. I've taught at many studios in the Decatur and metro Atlanta area including Decatur Yoga and Pilates, Ember Yoga, Jai Shanti, Georgia Tech, Emory, Form, Agni Yoga, Vista Yoga and the Self Discover Center.

I offer classes nearly every day of the week and at times ranging from 6am to 7pm, all classes are perfect for beginners, intermediate, and advanced practitioners, as well as anyone wanting a relaxing and energizing class...we center, I may offer an intention or positive affirmation, and then we weave in the physical part of the practice to challenge you on many levels.
