Introduction

I've done mountain man/historical stuff for years. I can start a fire quite a few different ways & cook very well over it; I can make a snare out of just about anything. I have hunted & trapped for my daily bread... er... squirrel. Hey there!

  • Hi Don

Would it be worth $.65/day to help clean up the environment, create more jobs in America, and earn a few hundred dollars a month?

Watch this 4 minute video and see how.

    www.CleanNationOnline.com

There are 2 kinds of people who get excited about this:

    1) Those who want to do good for the environment and make some money along the way.
    or
    2) Those who want to make some money and do good for the environment.

    I'm a #2. Which one are you?

    Don, Contact me, thanks

  • Thank you, Don. I think that picture was taken in Maine.

  • Thanks for the welcome. I would be there for the upcoming meet up but I already had plans. I usually come up a few days out of each month and I live there, roughly, every other year. I look forward to meeting everyone though :D

  • Thanks for the info about McHenry's chickens. I am working this thursday so I'll try to make a meeting when I can. Spring is going to be busy but keep me posted! (I can't figure out how to reply to your message. I see it in my email box but can't seem to figure out how to reply).

  • Hi Don, glad to be part of the group. I'm sure we can work out some kind of field trip to the farm.

  • Thanks for the welcome! The older style of eating is more how our great grandparents ate. Start with something that resembles real food and prepare it. I was raised by my grandfather who was from way north in Sweden. These days, I'm very interested in using microbes to revitalize soil and foliar sprays to fertilize plants. Compost tea. A whole different way of doing agriculture.

  • Hello....My college group, I joined Mchenry Conservation District as a volunteer, but I haven't been able to help yet. I also help out at the school I teach at.

  • Don, I'm sure that Lane would love to show everyone around after he gets rolling :-)

  • Hey Don. I am not a huge fan of the meet up set up so if I don't respond right away - it's likely that. I think we do have common interests and look forward to seeing what the group has going. I'm thinking of doing some underground chickens. I moved from Madison a year ago (where so many folks have chickens, rain barrels, etc.) and still recovering from the shock. :)
    Regards
    David
