COMMUNITY: Bowling for Change (A Benefit for Changing Young Lives)--POSTPONED

  • This location is shown only to members

We're holding a fundraising event for Changing Young Lives Foundation to support their work with underprivileged children in Hong Kong and on the mainland.

More information on CYLF: http://www.changingyounglives.org.hk/.

This will be a fun and action-packed event--a chance to show off your bowling skills (or lack thereof) while raising money for a great cause. And of course while wearing silly costumes and the like. It's an X event, after all! ;)

How it works: Sign up in teams of up to four people (registration form here: http://db.tt/6R5CARdR).

Registration fee: $100 per team

Donation to CYLF: Minimum of $1000 per team. Corporate sponsorship is also welcome!

Special guests: Two teams of kids from CYLF will also join the event, so we'll have a chance to cheer them on and get them involved in the fun.

And of course there will be prizes!

- Best team costumes

- Highest score

- Lowest score

- Best trick shot (no damaging the bowling alley, please! ;) )

- And others...

Sign up for the event to get more information, and help us support CYLF and the all the good work they do!

Special thanks to the following sponsors!

Thank you all very much for signing up to support this event and our work with CYLF--we really appreciate it! We wanted to run this fundraiser because we thought it would be a fun way to raise money for CYLF; we really believe in the work that they do with children both locally and on the mainland. Unfortunately, the event hasn't been as popular as we would like, perhaps because people are busy at this time of year. Therefore, we've decided to postpone the event until January to allow for more time to plan and to make the event more attractive for our members so that we can do our best to raise funds to support the great work that CYLF does.

Please keep an eye out for this event--we'll re-post it with the new date soon. And thank you all again for your support! Hope to see you all at a future X event. :)

Can I show up to cheer and make a donation to a team? I love bowling, but suck. Seriously. The ball goes in the wrong lane when I toss it. Please let me know. Thanks!

Yes, please join us! Bowling skill is really not required. Sometimes lack of skill makes things more fun. ;)

This is a sign-up for teams or for volunteers to run the event? Looks like a great one that would surely generate a lot of interest at work.
