KICKBALL (opening day edition)

Kick off Sunday with.....a game of Kickball. Use your kicking skills or exploit the outfield to get to first base and beyond.

This edition coincides with the beginning of the greatest time of the year - football season.

Lets play a game or two and head over to watch opening day festivities after that.

For the uninitiated, kickball follows the rules of baseball, except your leg acts as the bat and a large rolling ball replaces the baseball. Kick the ball and move your team around the diamond as you dodge the fielders trying to tag you out.

Remember, you don't have to be good or play at a pro level. Just kick the ball and hope for the best.

Let's split into two teams and see who comes out on top.

*** If you have a ball, markers or anything else, feel free to bring it along.

Since there have been some issues with directions, please note that the address for the park is:

73 Dexter Street, Providence

Meet by the softball field near the armory. Its the yellow and green castle like building that's impossible to miss

A few notes for tomorrow. We have a full house, so it should make for some fun games.

    1. If you haven't played before, we will be at the softball field by the armory (the big yellow castle like building). Go towards the armory and you can't miss the field.

    2. Please try and get there early, as close to 11 as possible. That way we will be able to get in more more playing time before we head out to watch football somewhere.

    3. There's plenty of onstreet parking around the field. Feel free to use this space to discuss or ask any questions. Post here if youre having any trouble. See you there.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
